SNTech ("we", "our", or "us") built the Phrazlo app as a free Android application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our service:

• Device ID: We use your device's Android ID to track daily usage limits and prevent abuse. We do not use this identifier to identify you personally, and it is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information.
• Usage data: We record the number of rewrite requests made per day per device to enforce free tier limits. We do not store the content of your text.
• Text content: Text you submit for rewriting is sent to our AI provider (Groq) for processing. We do not store or log the content of your text on our own servers.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
• We do not collect your location
• We do not collect payment information
• We do not use advertising networks or tracking SDKs
• We do not sell your data to third parties

How We Use Your Information

• To enforce daily free tier usage limits
• To prevent abuse of our API
• To improve the reliability of our service
• To automatically screen submitted text and generated results for content that violates our Terms of Use, such as unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative content

Third Party Services

Phrazlo uses the following third party services to operate:

• Groq: AI processing provider. Text you submit is sent to Groq to generate the rewritten output. Groq does not retain this content after generating a response, by default. Groq may temporarily retain inputs and outputs — for up to 30 days — solely to troubleshoot platform errors or investigate suspected misuse of their service; this is Groq's standard policy across all applications built on their platform, not something specific to Phrazlo, and this data is not used to train AI models. Groq acts solely as our data processor for this feature: it receives your text only to generate a rewrite on our behalf and does not use it for its own independent purposes. • MongoDB Atlas: Database provider used to store anonymised usage counts. See MongoDB's privacy policy at mongodb.com/legal/privacy/privacy-policy.

Your Consent

The first time you use Phrazlo's rewrite feature, we show you a brief notice explaining that your submitted text is sent to our AI partner (Groq) for processing, with a link to this Privacy Policy. By tapping "Continue" on that notice, you consent to your text being processed as described above. If you do not agree, you can decline and the rewrite feature will not be used.

Data Storage and Security

Usage data is stored securely in MongoDB Atlas. We implement industry standard security measures to protect against unauthorised access. Your text content is never stored on our own servers — it passes through to Groq for processing and our servers do not log or retain it. See the Third Party Services section above for how Groq itself handles this data on its end.

Your rewrite history is saved locally on your device only. We have no access to it and it is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can delete individual history entries or clear all history at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app permanently removes this local history.

Data Retention

We retain anonymised usage counts for up to 90 days for the purpose of enforcing daily limits. After 90 days, old usage records are automatically deleted.

Children's Privacy

Phrazlo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about the anonymised data associated with your device ID, please contact us.
